Advanced Rope Flow Footwork | 5 Patterns Every Serious Practitioner Should Master

In this video I break down a five-move rope flow footwork progression designed to build coordination, balance, and body awareness from the ground up. We cover: Inward 360 — a full rotation around the lead leg to develop single leg balance and rotational awareness Crane Walk — an outward weight transfer across two grounded steps building lateral control Spiral Step — an outward rotational bound landing on the opposite leg Backward Shift — Learning how to load up our lead leg to generate force and move our entire body backwards in one movement (essential for combat sports) The Double down— a 270 degree outward launch off the lead leg landing two-footed at 90 degrees to your original line of travel Each move builds directly on the last. Master them in sequence and you will have a footwork foundation that carries into every other aspect of your rope flow practice. If you're looking to sharpen your movement vocabulary in rope flow, this progression gives you something concrete to work on. 👇 Which of these four patterns did you find hardest? Drop it in the comments and let me know where you got stuck. 🎵 Music Credits: The song that plays at the end of your childhood - Martin Roth
