Taken from CBS soap operas As The World Turns and Guiding Light, airing on affiliate WPRI-TV (channel 12) in Providence, Rhode Island. WPRI has been a CBS station since September 10, 1995. WPRI was always the second-place finisher in the market. Providence was usually not competitive; WJAR held first, WPRI in second, WLNE in third. But WPRI still had a name for itself, as its anchor team of Walter Cryan and Karen Adams lasted most of a decade. Also look for a promo for then-sports director Jess Atkinson, who later went to WUSA.
