○ About wiping painted surfaces with alcohol During the test, when I wiped the painted surface with alcohol, a lot of the paint got on the cloth (especially Briwax). Also, the color of the wiped area appeared to lighten slightly. (It's hard to tell from the video.) → How to clean painted surfaces I think wiping with a damp cloth is the best method. ○ About color transfer By wiping thoroughly after painting, I was able to almost completely prevent color transfer. However, it did not completely eliminate color transfer, and wiping can be quite difficult when painting large objects like tabletops. → It's best to avoid placing important books or documents directly on painted surfaces. I'm not sure if this method is appropriate for testing, but I made a video anyway. I'll store the cedar boards I used for now and test their water resistance again in the future.
