This Politics Class Summary examines two powerful recipes for sluggish bureaucracy: "New Public Management" and "New Public Services." These two concepts were very popular in the past, although some are often misunderstood. Therefore, this video will explore these two theories of government management, specifically to help students gain a more solid understanding. I originally used this video for the Management Networking course (also suitable for Government Management or Introduction to Government Studies) for the government science students I teach. ------------------------------------------------------ The Politics Class Summary is a collection of lecture videos that I produced, initially motivated by the motivation of supplementing online lectures. Rather than requiring students to record class, I created short videos highlighting the material I covered in class.
