suikenshin1-2 Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) : PanCAN Japan presents "Pancreatic Cancer Ultrasound Screening Method" developed by Dr. Sachiko Tanaka of Osaka Medical Center for Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease. Ultrasound is used to screen upper GI disease including that of pancreas. However, located behind stomach and surrounded by intestine, it is difficult to visualize pancreas. This video illustrates ways to visualize pancreas to identify pancreatic risk factors such as dilation of MPD and the presence of cysts. This video consists of 2 chapters. First chapter talks about pancreatic cancer in Japan. The second chapter demonstrates how to take 13 cuts, and explains about how to position probe and move it to obtain the best image.
