みゆ @DoKomi 2018 ~ Dance Off Contest/Worldwide Festival & more 【踊ってみた】

I finally finished editing my Dokomi video for this year! It was an amazing weekend. I was surrounded by so many wonderful people and I can't thank everyone enough for these beautiful memories we created. THANK YOU! I already arrived in Düsseldorf on Thursday evening before the convention weekend. I was so so so happy to see Ally again and I already can't wait to see her again pretty soon! (Hopefully at AnimagiC in early August) On Friday I met up with Jyuke and Emily who arrived one day before as well and I filmed two dance covers with Jyuke!! I hope you're looking forward to seeing them! I never thought I would be able to meet her one day, so it felt really special to actually stand infront of each other. And it felt even more special to dance with each other. Thank you so so so much Jyuke for doing this with me! I had a lot of fun! I hope we'll be able to meet again one day. I showed them around a bit (even though I don't have a clue about Düsseldorf myself either, so I just showed them some places I've been to before when I went there with Ally) In the evening the others from our Dance Off Contest group arrived and we practiced A LOT. We're all from different cities so it was impossible to meet up with everyone beforehand. (The first time we practiced with all 7 of us together was on Saturday right before the contest xD) The convention itself was amazing as always. We got early entry on Saturday because we were dancing on stage together during the opening ceremony, but we didn't really have a lot of time to walk around because we were busy with rehearsal and other stuff we had to do before the opening ceremony started. Saturday was packed with performances I wanted to see, so I was basically just running around from A to B. I got to see MeseMoa, Eri Sasaki and Megumi Nakajima perform live on stage. The Dance Off Contest was filled with amazing performances just like every year and it was so much fun to cheer everyone on! And I still can't believe we ranked 3rd place! We're really proud of what we achieved even though we all come from different places. In the evening we went to "Naniwa" - a Japanese restaurant - where we had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table (unfortunately it was only possible to get a table for 3 people, so we had to eat in 2 groups) But I had REALLY delicious ramen!! On Sunday I had a bit more time to discover the convention itself. I walked around the artist alley and met a few friends of mine. I met Eri Sasaki at her autograph session and we even took a photo together! I bought some cute stuff for my friends and myself and around 2pm we met up with everyone to record a big group dance together. It was really stressful and because of that I didn't even have the time to check out things like karaoke, but in the end it was definitely worth it because it somehow reminded me of the old odottemita times. I can't wait to see the finished video! After that I rushed to Eri Sasaki's 2nd concert and I was so happy to listen to her sing "Shiny Days", my most favorite song atm. (It's the opening song for the anime "Yuru Camp", did you watch it?) Afterwards the closing ceremony already started and somehow Dokomi was over way too soon. But our happy times didn't end here. We went to a korean café all together (KOI & Jyumily) and recorded WWF together when it was already getting dark. We got back home at 11pm xD On Monday the others left, but Ally, Nina and I enjoyed ourselves playing some boardgames and meeting up with some newmade friends at another café in the afternoon. On Tuesday we went to eat really delicious pizza. It was a perfect finish for a great weekend! I can't wait for next year!!!
