The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) presents the Day 2 proceedings of the Inaugural Southern African Public Procurement Forum (SAPPF), held under the theme: "Transforming Public Procurement for Sustainable Growth and Regional Integration in Southern Africa." Day 2 featured high-level discussions on strengthening public procurement systems across the region, with expert presentations on: Professionalisation and capacity building in public procurement. Skills development, competency frameworks, and regional certification initiatives. The role of academic and professional institutions in developing procurement practitioners. Promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity in public procurement. Anti-corruption measures, oversight mechanisms, and open contracting. Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP), including green procurement, environmental sustainability, and SME participation. The establishment of the Southern African Public Procurement Forum (SAPPF), including its governance framework, membership, and future roadmap. Closing remarks highlighting key outcomes and the adoption of the Forum Communiqué. The Forum brought together procurement regulators, policymakers, development partners, academia, professional bodies, and industry leaders from across Southern Africa to share experiences, strengthen collaboration, and advance procurement reforms that support sustainable development and regional integration.
