Birding Namibia August 2023 : part one
We visited Namibia in August on a self drive tour. As August is a winter month, it was cold in the South but in the North, cold at night but warm during daytime. During this part of the year all migrating birds have left the country, with only the non migrating species who can survive this harsh season remaining. As a result, only a limited number of bird species can be found, and those also in low numbers. If not the best season for birding, it is excellent for game watching. In this videos we tried to illustrate both the birds and the environnement they live in. We included also the different species of mammals we came accross. Namibia is indeed also a spectacular destination to go on safari.
