Viva Napoli 1995

Viva Napoli was a feature song contest that ran yearly from 1994 to 2002. It was hosted by Mike Bongiorno and Mara Venier in 1995, and broadcast on Naples Canale 5 on the 22nd June 1995. Singers competed by performing their renditions of traditional Napolitano songs. Funnily enough for Italian television, the winning contestant took the prize based on merit instead of the pretty young lady with big bouncy hair.
