Since Maschine’s hands-on sampling without using the mouse and keyboard is so nice, I never thought it was necessary. But with stem separation that was introduced in Serato Sample 2.0 last week, key detection and real-time time stretch it’s definitely worth trying. And it seems a lot of Maschine users don’t mind actually using mouse and keyboard, so let’s see how it works. And since NI have just released their new drum Play series instrument called Rudiments, I’ll be using some hard hitting drums from it.
