Berna 4GTP #15242 (ex-Winthertur 117) on T1 in Burgas, Bulgaria

This is the most musical of all the Bernas here in Burgas. Maybe, the guys from the maintenance have put too many parts from ZiU 9 in it, dunno. But it is a real pleasure for my ears to listen to the angry sound of its engine. The video was made in January, but it wasn't until today that I finally took it upon myself to upload it (actually, I was hoping I can make another one where the driver goes faster, but that didn't happen, unfortunately). BTW, in September, 2012, there was a European Mobility Week in the city and the municipality encouraged the citizens to leave their cars at least for a week for the sake of more ecological means of transportation such as bikes and trolleybuses. This Berna got taken out of service for a while and was exposed in the Sea Garden as we call it with many archival photos and even an old uniform from the Communist era. Everyone was free to take a look at both its interior and exterior free of charge and even to take a picture of themselves behind its wheel. The trolleybus was painted with graffiti for the purpose of the European Mobility Week and has remained thus ever since. It was certainly not a bad idea, as the other Bernas never received a decent and full paintjob after their advertisements were already gone. Furthermore, there are still remains of foil above the windows, which is plain abominable
