Measuring A Camshaft & Rocker Arms, Camshaft Math, Degree Wheel Setup & More! : Project SSR Part 9

In this video, I'm checking out my camshaft in order to gather information relevant to an exhaust system build that I hope to complete in the future. Along the way, I'll be showing you things like camshaft removal and installation, how to measure cam lobe lift and valve lift, how to find rocker arm ratio, setting up a degree wheel, making a degree wheel adapter and piston stop, finding lobe centerline, calculating lobe separation angle, and much more. I'll also explain valve timing marks, rocker arm ratios, dial indicator alignment tips, degreeing a cam, and other things in detail along the way. I've included a lot of information that can help anyone interested in trying to spec out a camshaft, be it on a pit bike engine like the Piranha YX 160 that I'm working on or a scooter, moped, motorcycle or other four-stroke engine so watch this video if you are interested in learning about all sorts of camshaft and valve related checks and measurements. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tip Jar ( PayPal) : https://paypal.me/49ccscoot ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parts, Tools & Supplies (Some Are Affiliate Links) Valve Adjustment Tools : https://amzn.to/2LAgNvv Digital Dial Indicator : https://amzn.to/3aSFko3 Magnetic Base : https://amzn.to/3p5tsUN Degree Wheel : https://www.summitracing.com/parts/su... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for watching!
