On May 27, the final bell rang at the Visaginas Engineering and Technology Training Center, known as Visagino TECH for short. This solemn and touching farewell to their alma mater took place for 68 graduating students. As per tradition, the ceremony took place in the Center's assembly hall, which barely accommodated all the graduates, their parents, grandparents, and numerous guests. This is the 24th graduating class of the Visaginas Vocational Training Center, which has changed its name over the years and evolved from a vocational school to Visagino TECH. In his congratulatory speech, Visagino TECH Director Vytautas Petkūnas emphasized this special occasion for the students: "You began your studies at the Visaginas Vocational Training Center for Technology and Entrepreneurship, and you are now graduating from Visaginas TECH." The Director of Visagino TECH expressed gratitude not only to the students but also to their parents, expressing confidence that the 24th graduating class would successfully complete their exams and wishing them good luck! Mayor Erlandas Galaguz then addressed the graduates. In his speech, he emphasized that Visaginas is always proud of this educational institution, which has maintained its leadership among Lithuanian vocational centers for many years. Addressing the graduates, the mayor said: "Many challenges still await you in life, many exams still lie ahead, but we wish you to maintain this standard, maintain your leadership, and remain first in everything... I wish you success, and most importantly, be happy." Vice Mayor Aleksandra Grigenė also addressed the graduates with congratulations and parting words. Then, the parents took the stage, moving everyone in the hall to tears with their heartfelt song. But now the moment had arrived to award the best students—in several categories at once. One after another, those who had been exemplary in their studies, in sports, and who had worthily represented the center's student community took the stage. Traditionally, the graduates were congratulated by the students of the third grade, for whom the last bell will ring next year. The number of such graduates will almost double in 2027—today, 132 students are graduating from the third grade, and there are 366 students in Visagino TECH's gymnasium classes. The performances on stage concluded with a song from the graduates and words of gratitude to the teachers and parents. Then, all participants in the ceremony went outside, where the most touching part of the last bell ceremony took place—the traditional school waltz. Even the rain couldn't stop them—it stopped as soon as the young couples stepped onto the dance floor. What can one say about this beautiful dance? "It's something to behold and admired." After the waltz, all the graduates and faculty lined up on the steps of Visagino TECH for a group photo. But then came the culmination of the celebration: the graduation caps flew into the sky, and this moment, captured in photographs, will forever remind the students of this vibrant, unforgettable event.
