Milano, è caccia ai killer del 22enne in stazione Certosa: al vaglio le telecamere di sicurezza
The video reports news events for informational and journalistic purposes only, out of respect for the people involved. Eight or nine people, fleeing with their faces covered, likely some minors, and perhaps all members of a South American gang. This is the identikit of the person who attacked and killed Gianluca Ibarra Silvera, 22, born in Milan to an Ecuadorian family, who died late Tuesday evening at the Certosa station. To track them down, investigators from the Flying Squad are examining surveillance camera footage from both the surrounding area and the station where the incident occurred, as well as subsequent ones. The attackers, according to the victim's father and brother, appear to belong to the infamous Latin Kings gang, one of the most violent in Milan. Although Gianluca has nothing to do with that gang, it's possible the gang struck to assert its control over the area. "We are Latin Kings, we are the kings of this area," the father allegedly heard while he was with his children before the tragedy. The three were spending the evening together, enjoying dinner and a few beers. Then, they encountered the gang in the station underpass, a necessary crossing to reach the home of their father, who was separated from his mother. The man's wife attempted to invite the boys to spend the night there to avoid them encountering the gang again. But Gianluca and his 20-year-old brother, Gianfranco, wanted to go to the station to catch the train to Segrate, so they could reach their mother. Hearing the screams, the boys' father, named Wilmer, immediately realized it was them. When he got off the train, he found Gianluca, who was dying, and Gianfranco, who was slightly bruised. He later died at the Fatebenefratelli hospital from blood loss from the blows. And while the family is now calling for justice, investigators led by prosecutor Elio Ramondini are trying to identify who inflicted the fatal blow.
