🎬 Day 6 – From Lake Forggensee via Füssen to Tyrol: Fairy-tale Castles, Sweat & Schnapps Ideas 🚴‍♀️🇩🇪🇦🇹 The day begins like a dream at Lake Forggensee – the water lies perfectly still, while the Alps glow in the first morning light behind us. We roll past the lakeside festival stage, still completely quiet at this early hour, and head hungrily toward Füssen – time for breakfast, a quick sink laundry session, and the first coffee of the day. ☕️ From there, the route takes us on to the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau – and yes, of course we choose the hilly way. Because if you’re crossing the Alps, a bit of practice doesn’t hurt. 😅 Via Lake Alpsee we head toward the border, where Austria welcomes us with sunshine, climbs, and 34°C. The Knie Pass demands all our strength, but the views and the feeling of having made it more than make up for it.
