First flight after engine overhaul (Cessna 172).

January 18, 2025 This was our first flight post overhaul for XGV. It took several months of patience, as we waited for the engine overhaul and annual to be completed. Today, we take flight for the first time since the overhauled engine was installed. The flight was carefully planned to stay within close reach of Chilliwack Airport, as we break in the engine. The air was smooth, which made for a very pleasant VFR flight. Route: Langley, Mission to Chilliwack and back Distance Travelled: 108 NM Average Cruising Altitude: 3500 Ft. Average Speed: 100 kts Weather: VFR all the way.
