"I'll Sleep at Your Place - Quebec (Full Version)" / Montreal, Quebec, April 2004. Winter has just ended, the country is waking up, and Antoine de Maximy arrives equipped with his unusual handheld cameras. In Sutton, 9 km from the American border, he meets Robert, a former vagabond turned hammock maker, who asks him, "What line?" meaning, "What brings you here to film?" A comical encounter and some surprising connections. After being turned down for a place to stay, or even for lunch, Antoine heads to the Sutton ski resort. But even there, success isn't guaranteed, and he takes a plane to try his luck in Inukjuak, north of Hudson Bay, where it's -14°C with gusting winds. After a few unsuccessful attempts with the Inuit, he's taken in by Sarah and Marco, and then by Jacob. But Jacob's invitation takes a turn for the worse; he breaks the camera... In this town with deserted streets that don't even have a restaurant, and where encounters are, to say the least, unusual, he has to return to Sarah's. Antoine then leaves the North of the country for Mont Saint Pierre, a peaceful village in the Gaspé Peninsula on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. It's during Easter Mass that he meets Ginette, then her husband André, who works in a sugar shack (maple syrup), before setting sail on a fishing boat and meeting Luc, who invites him to his home.
