200 historias destacadas: Cierre de ingenios en Tucumán - Canal Encuentro
A few months after forcibly removing Radical President Arturo Illia, General Juan Carlos Onganía ordered the closure of several sugar mills in Tucumán, which had until then been the province's productive center and one of its largest sources of labor. Don't miss the images from this period, a co-production between the AGN and the Ministry of the Interior. We would like to thank the Ramón Leoni Pinto Historical Research Institute and LUPA (an audiovisual production company), both affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National University of Tucumán, for their collaboration in the production of this short film.
