2 Tipos de Auto-Crítica | Freud (Obsesión vs Melancolía)

Tavil conveys a Freudian idea about how to clinically differentiate between two types of self-reproach (self-criticism). Freud explores this idea in his text "Mourning and Melancholia" and in Chapter V of "The Ego and the Id." There, he develops how to differentiate the self-reproach characteristic of obsessive neurosis compared to that found in melancholia (depression); how they appear phenomenologically; and what their psychodynamic explanation is—that is, what is at play in the background. This would allow us to be better oriented in managing the case, enabling us to interpret and intervene more effectively.
