A Lightning Storm Almost Ruined Our Camp 🌩️ | Luxury River Camping at Camp AWOL

Welcome back to Karamel Camping! What started as a relaxing camping trip quickly turned into an unforgettable adventure at Camp AWOL in Real, Quezon. Just as we finished setting up our brand-new 270 Awning, camping chairs, and IGT table, the weather suddenly changed. Heavy rain poured down while lightning flashed across the sky and thunder echoed through the campsite. With our camp partially set up and nowhere else to go, all we could do was ride out the storm and hope for the best. Thankfully, the weather eventually cleared, revealing one of the most beautiful riverside campsites we've ever visited. We completed our setup with our Coody 10.0 tent right beside the river and settled into what would become an amazing camping experience. Together with our German Shepherd, we enjoyed a refreshing swim, explored the campsite, hiked to the top of the hill, crossed a hanging bridge, and took in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and river. The highlight of the trip? My very first Giant Swing ride! I honestly thought it would feel like one of those giant swings in Bali... but I was completely wrong. The drop was far more intense than I expected, and for a few seconds, I thought I was going to die! 😅 You'll have to watch the vlog and decide for yourself. As the sun set, we gathered around a cozy bonfire, roasted eggplants over the fire for tortang talong, fried some fish, and enjoyed a peaceful evening listening to the sounds of nature.
