Chesil Beach Winter Cod Fishing – West Bexington Session | Conger Eel! Join me for a real winter shore fishing session on Chesil Beach at West Bexington on 22 February 2026! I fished the shingle from 12:30pm to 4:30pm during murky water with medium tidal flow. Targeted cod with mostly black lugworm, plus some bluey and squid baits. I used a pulley rig with a 6oz long tail gripper weight and clipped splashdown terminal tackle – great for off-the-ground casting, which helps with distance on this Century Eliminator X80 fishing rod in Chesil's tricky conditions. Unfortunately no cod this time, but I did land a small conger eel on bluey – the only bite in 4 hours! Honest session showing the realities of UK beach fishing on the Beach of Broken Dreams.
