The history of Marcel Breuer's Wassily chair
In this video we're giving you the history behind the legendary club chair, developed by Marcel Breuer between 1925-28. Nowadays it's known as the Wassily chair, a nickname it was given much later. It was the first of a large number of tubular steel chairs designed by Breuer in the 1920's and 30's, and it has become a true design classic.
