Collectable old pedal cars - vintage pedal cars 1920s - 1960s inc Austin J40, Pathfinder, Tri-Ang ++

Old pedal cars mainly from the 1920s & 1930s, through to the late 1940s, 1950s & 1960s make up this short 75-photo video. A few of the pedal cars are probably earlier, Edwardian-era examples. If you like pedal-powered toy cars, or have an interest in old children's toys and automobilia in general, hopefully this collection of vintage & classic pedal cars will be of interest. Austin J40 pedal cars are featured throughout this collection, as are some amazing pre-war examples by Leeway Toys and of course Tri-ang (Lines Brothers). The highly sought-after Austin Pathfinder - inspired by the pre-war twin-cam Austin 7 racers - also features, as does JOY 1, the prototype based on an Austin 8 road car that morphed into the J40, which was based on the contemporary Austin A40 Devon/Dorset saloons when it came out and continued in production for many years. Interest in the Austin J40, already high, snowballed yet further once the Goodwood Revival started hosting the Settrington Cup race for J40 pedal cars a few years back, with good examples now commanding ££££.
