New Couches, Superconducting Foundations, Tadpole Blister Dock - LEAKED Subnautica 2 Content

Subnautica 2 has even more unreleased content hidden in the game files, and this time we are taking a deeper look at future base building, habitat decoration, furniture, power systems, and vehicle docking features that may be coming in a later update. Important disclaimer: everything shown in this video is unreleased / leaked / hidden game-file content. These items are not fully available in normal gameplay yet, and the final names, models, textures, recipes, balance, placement rules, power values, and release timing can all change before they officially appear in Subnautica 2. The main focus of this showcase is the new modular sofa system. These are not just single couch decorations. They are modular sofa pieces that can be placed together to create custom couch shapes inside your habitat. You can build straight couches, corner couches, L-shaped couches, circles, curved seating areas, inverted S-shaped sofas, and other custom furniture layouts. They can even be placed perfectly back to back with no ugly seam, which makes them extremely useful for decorating large rooms, lounges, observation areas, and custom living spaces. This could be one of the best decoration upgrades for players who care about making their Subnautica 2 base feel like an actual home instead of a wet storage closet with walls. Modular furniture gives builders a lot more freedom compared to one-piece chairs or basic static decor. The next major hidden feature is the return of foundations. Like the foundation platforms from earlier Subnautica games, the basic foundation gives you a flat structural support piece that makes it easier to build on uneven terrain. This is useful when placing bases over slopes, rough ground, caves, cliffs, or awkward terrain where normal rooms can be annoying to line up. There is also a more advanced hybrid power boosting foundation made from a blend of human and alien technology. This foundation appears to double the power generation from any power source placed on it. That means solar panels, thermal plants, hydroelectric turbines, or other generators placed on top of this hybrid foundation could potentially produce much more energy than normal. If released, this could become one of the most important late-game base power upgrades in Subnautica 2. Another huge item shown in this video is the new Tadpole vertical dock, also known as the Tadpole blister dock. Instead of docking like a normal moonpool-style vehicle bay, this dock brings the Tadpole through a forcefield in the wall and parks it vertically so the player can step out more cleanly. It looks much more convenient, more futuristic, and honestly a lot nicer than awkwardly parking your sub and climbing out like you are exiting a wet shopping cart. I also showcase the current booster rings, which launch or speed you through the water when you drive through them. These could be useful for fast travel routes, base approaches, racing setups, or just making your underwater commute dramatically less boring. On top of that, this video covers several other unreleased habitat and decoration items, including Axum Chairs, a new Trashcan, a new Storage Cache that works like a storage chest, new Solar Panels, hidden posters that can be used as wall decor, and more hidden base-building pieces currently sitting in the game files. This unreleased content gives us a really interesting look at where Subnautica 2 base building may be heading. Between modular sofas, new foundations, power-boosting alien tech, vertical Tadpole docking, storage chests, wall posters, solar upgrades, and new decorative furniture, it looks like future habitat building could become much more detailed and customizable.
