I Need Money for a Man

The plaintiff says the defendant, her former friend, had borrowed money from her more than once to give to a man. One time, the defendant allegedly gave money to a man she didn’t even know. The plaintiff claims the defendant still owes her for one of those personal loans, so she is suing for the balance. The defendant insists she never gave money to a man she didn’t meet, but she does admit she gave money to a man who fled the country. The defendant is countersuing for damaged property after the plaintiff allegedly broke her air conditioner.
