This video was taken on 30 March 2021. We were in Udupi and I thought the best way to start Udupi videos must be from the temple - Shri Krishna Matha. We walked around the temple and listened to its stories from our friend Akshay. He was so kind to narrate almost everything that he knew about the place. He told us about the traditions followed at this centuries' old temple. My friend, Martin was also with us. By the time we finished all the three temples around, it was 8:00 and all of us were having this intense longing for breakfast - Udupi style breakfast. We then went to one of the most famous Udupi restaurants - Woodlands Restaurant, and we enjoyed some of the traditional cuisines. I relished the combination of semige with coconut milk. Martin loved his banana buns too. Later, we went back to the temple with another friend - Mahesh. We walked inside the temple with him, while he narrated more stories about the temple which were inscribed on the wall in Kannada. Here we got a chance to taste the food served at the Math. We went to the dining area where meals are served. There is a place where you get special treatment, but I wanted to sit and dine the common man's way. It was a wonderful experience sitting on the floor and tasting the simple food, along with hundreds of devotees. It's unique and traditional.
