Join me for Part 1, of our "Plaistow to East Ham" = Historical on-foot tour & pub crawl, series! A now & then, glimpse into "some of the area's much loved & remembered, locations." Filmed on Friday 21st July 2023. In this part of the tour = we begin, with an historical image of "a much loved, Plaistow Pub = The Abbey Arms." Then, you'll rejoin me, back in the present, & looking at the same pub "which thankfully, still survives." Then, we head off, for the first on-foot part of the tour! From The Abbey Arms, Barking Road, Plaistow London E13 = & make our way, along the Barking Road, heading to our first Pub visit, of the day (The Boleyn Tavern) = which will be part 2, in this series!! In this onfoot tour = we walk through Plaistow - Green Gate - The Boleyn /Upton Park "taking in memories = local & much loved legends/shops = the bloody great changes, which have & are, fast overtaking the area" = while having a chat, along the way. Then, we end off this video tour, with a look back, at historical images "showing the buildings /history, we walked past" in the tour.
