HOW TO PAINT A RED BIRD IN ACRYLIC ON CANVAS | THE NORTHERN CARDINAL PAINTING BY DEBOJYOTI BORUAH

Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/c/DebojyotiBor... In this video I am showing how to paint a Red bird (The Northern Cardinal) in acrylic on canvas. In this demonstration I am using only water mist to keep my paint moist in my palette. No retarder or any kind of medium is used in the entire process. I have started with a rough sketch with Scarlet Lake to capture the proportion of the bird and on the canvas directly. Then, I started painting the background with ultramarine blue, burnt umber, crimson lake, yellow ochre and white. Many thin layers of paint was applied to achieve the fur texture of the bird.
