On my second Hover, almost 15 years old, the door cables stretched out, causing broken handles and, ultimately, a torn driver's door cable. On my fifth Hover, a 2013 model, they've already stretched out :-). Again, the comparison between the models isn't in the fifth's favor. In this video, I'll show you how to fix this. The method is terribly crude and doesn't claim to be the ultimate solution, but it's quite suitable as a temporary measure. Perhaps this video will be useful to some, as most Hover owners can't afford to simply go to the store and buy a cable or handle. Furthermore, this method will directly help extend the life of your door handles, as every Hover owner knows that the handles on their hovers are crap. Once the factory handle breaks, replacing them with new ones becomes a tradition! New cables that come with the original part number appear identical, but the cable housing length doesn't match the cable itself, with all the ensuing consequences.
