*Ego is ignorance*

Param Pujya Ma (Arpana Trust) answers a disciple's question "Ego is ignorance", by discussing the nature of the ego, how it traps the soul, and the practical path to transcending it. Summary: 1. Ego as Blindness and Ignorance The Trap of the "I": Ma defines the ego (the sense of "I") as absolute ignorance and blindness [00:26]. Once a person falls under the spell of the "I", they become entirely incapable of seeing the truth [00:39]. The Cycle of Destiny: The ego begins by attaching itself to the physical body [00:54]. From the body, it migrates to the mind, the intellect, and deep into the mind-stuff (chitta) [01:05]. This process creates samskaras (entrained mental impressions), which ultimately force the soul into another birth and weave its future destiny [01:11]. Ma asserts that in reality, this "I" has no true meaning or value [01:22]. 2. Practical Steps to Pierce Ignorance Detaching from Body-Consciousness: To pierce through this ignorance, one must practically accept that "this physical body is not mine" [01:39]. However, doing so is difficult without shifting how we perceive others [01:48]. Seeing Others as Divine Creations: To transcend the body, we must accept that every person in front of us is created by the Master and sent into our lives with a specific purpose [01:58]. Realized sages accept the world intrinsically as the Master's creation [02:33, 02:43]. They do not attach rigid labels, words, or physical forms to the people they interact with [02:54, 03:07]. 3. The Practice of Non-Blaming and Surrender Practicing in All Circumstances: Ma stresses that losing the ego requires constant practice across all situations and circumstances [03:34]. Eliminating Blame: Under this practice, you can never blame another human being for anything that happens to you [03:44]. When you realize that the Master is behind everything and that people are merely puppets in His hands, blame completely evaporates [03:53]. Treating the Ego as a Third Person: Through persistent devotion and practice, a seeker will eventually look back and say, "Oh Master, now I realize that the 'I' kidnapped and robbed me, taking me in directions where I was blinded" [04:09]. At this stage of spiritual maturity, you begin to observe and talk about your own ego in the third person because it no longer holds any power over you [04:22]. Accepting All Results: Ultimately, the ego-free seeker surrenders the outcome of all actions to the Divine, completely accepting whatever result the Lord provides [05:02]. #arpanatrust #consciousliving #innerpeace #spiritualwisdom #gitadaily #ego #ignorance #destiny #ignorance #surrender Please Like, Subscribe & Share See Playlists @    / @arpanaorg   Param Pujya Ma answers Seeker's question Place: Arpana Ashram, Madhuban, G.T.
