Known in local folklore as mischievous little folk who haunted the misty Simonside Hills, they were often blamed for leading travellers astray and causing all manner of trouble. But what if they didn't do any of it? This tongue-in-cheek folk-rock pub anthem turns the old legend on its head as the dwarfs finally get a chance to defend themselves. From missing sheep to lost horses and village scandals, every mishap somehow ends up being their fault. Packed with fiddle, accordion, stoming rhythms and huge singalong choruses, DON'T BLAME THE DWARFS brings one of Northumberland's most entertaining folklore traditions roaring back to life. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚔️ TWO SONGS • ONE LEGEND ⚔️ This is the first of two very different songs inspired by the Simonside Dwarfs. Inspired by the mysterious ruler of the Brownmen of Simonside, it is a cinematic folk-rock anthem filled with mist, lantern lights, ancient hills and the supernatural folklore that has haunted Northumberland for centuries.
