This is Kasukabe's representative summer festival, originating from the festival of Yasaka Shrine in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture, and starting in 1973 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the former Kasukabe City's municipal status. The festival takes place on Kasukabe Avenue and its surrounding areas, featuring adult portable shrine parades, float parades, street dances, Japanese drum performances, Yosakoi Soran dance, and more. Many food stalls line the venue. In the mikoshi parade, where over 20 portable shrines (mikoshi) parade through the streets, a vibrant scene unfolds, filled with the energetic shouts of the bearers.
