How to Solo Downwind by winging upwind and stowing wing in backpack.

What's up foilers! This was a 1h20m, 10 mile solo session. I did this long edit to show how I tack upwind, deflate and pack down the wing, SUP downwind, then pump the wing back up and wing back to the starting point. Wind was 5-10 mph at the starting point and about 15 mph out to sea. Equipment was: 7'6" ‪@kalamaperformance8042‬ Barracuda board ‪@armstrongfoils‬ 4.6m XPS wing APF 1675 foil 795 performancemast 70 fuse Crisp 333 tail 😎🤙 👇 👇 👇 👇 Time flies when you're having fun! Last year in Hanalei I was just starting to learn to SUP downwind! And here I am a year later on the boat in Hanalei again and I've been reflecting on how much progress I've made in the last year. I wasn't even close to the flat water paddle up last year. And now I can flat water paddle up 3 different foils. And a year ago I struggled to stay on foil downwinding with the wing flagged out. This year I can go over 10 minutes with the wing flagged out. At 43 years old the progress has been slow and dependant on improving my physical conditioning. Leg strength, arm strength, and cardio all must be at a high level of fitness to do this sport. And walking that fine line of avoiding injuries and rehabing other injuries is a constant battle. The passion to foil has taken over my life. In a good way. This is such a great community of foilers I'm thankful to be a part of. I owe a great deal of my success to this group of friends, who like me enjoy documenting their progress, sharing their struggles, giving tips, and sharing their equipment preferences. To all those other foil frothers out there, keep frothing my friends! 😎🤙💨🌊🏄🏼‍♂️
