Summer Freight Trains Above the Cajon Pass

BNSF and Union Pacific freight trains, on the always busy Cajon Pass in the Summer of 2025. Located about 60 miles to the East of Los Angeles, the Cajon Pass offers some of the finest freight train watching in Southern California. With two different subdivisions from two different railroads, and 4 tracks, there's always something going on here. Views from the ground and nearby mountains are great, but even better from the air! Here we'll focus from Sullivans Curve, in the middle of the pass, to Lugo, on the far Eastern end of the pass.
