MALCOLM X: el Hombre que ya no Encajaba en Ningún Lado

Malcolm X was one of the most influential leaders of the civil rights movement in the United States. Born Malcolm Little, his life was marked by racism, imprisonment, his involvement with the Nation of Islam, his 1964 pilgrimage to Mecca, his break with Elijah Muhammad, and his death in 1965 at the Audubon Ballroom. His ideological evolution, from racial separatism to a more comprehensive vision of human rights, made Malcolm X a key figure in African American activism during the Cold War. In this video, we analyze his transformation: his childhood marked by violence, his radicalization after entering prison, his rise as a spokesperson for the Nation of Islam, his change of heart, the creation of the Organization of Afro-American Unity, and the political context surrounding his death. We also address his 1966 trial and the 2021 overturning of two convictions after the discovery of evidence that had been hidden for decades by the FBI and the New York Police Department. Malcolm X died while he was still evolving.
