Based on the experiences of creator Hugh Wilson, WKRP (1978) is about a struggling radio station that changes its format to rock-n-roll. It ran for four seasons on CBS, and then came in syndication (1991) as 'The New WKRP in Cincinnati' with three of the original cast as the stars. 0:00 First season original opening - theme song by Tom Wells and Hugh Wilson, performed by Steve Carlisle 1:02 Fourth season opening 1:45 End credits (first season) - an entirely different theme, a hard rock song by Jim Ellis.
