Dr Terry Wahls, The Doctors, February 6, 2020 — Reclaiming My Health and Living With MS

Thank you to The Doctors for giving me a platform to share my story of hope to give other patients suffering from Multiple Sclerosis or autoimmune disease the motivation to reclaim their own health. Previously a marathoner and mountain climber, I found myself in a wheelchair due to secondary progressive MS. Frustrated with traditional treatment, I decided to take my health into my own hands by using my knowledge of functional medicine, ancestral health principles, and background as a medical researcher to create my own treatment protocol. In a mere nine months, I was back on her bike, riding eighteen miles in one day. The protocol grew into The Wahls™ Diet, a nutrition and lifestyle treatment plan that has been investigated in multiple clinical trials, including one funded by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society(NMSS).
