12 Months in Tasmania: Our Farewell Trip and Why We’re Leaving

After spending a year living in Tasmania, we decided it was time to move on — but not before one last unforgettable road trip around this incredible island. From peaceful farm stays at Lake Huntsman and Mole Creek, to exploring King Solomons Caves, wandering the giant maze at Tasmazia, and relaxing on stunning beaches like Cosy Bay and the Bay of Fires, this trip was all about soaking it in and saying our goodbyes. We also visited historic sites like Port Arthur and Richmond, and enjoyed the unique art and ferry ride to MONA in Hobart. Join us on this final adventure as we reflect on our time in Tasmania and share what’s next for our family! 📸 Follow the journey Instagram → @dsallai Website → danielsallai.com 🎒 Gear Used Canon R5 MkII, RF 15-35 f/2.8 and RF 70-200 F/2.8 Rode VideoMic Go II and Wireless Go II DJI Mavic Pro 4 and DJI Mini 4 Pro All footage shot in C-LOG CONTENT 00:00 – 🎬 Intro 00:46 – 🐄 Hill Top Farm, Lake Huntsman 02:19 – 🍯 Mole Creek & Melita Honey Farm 03:01 – 🪨 King Solomons Caves 04:54 – 🧩 Tasmazia & The Village of Lower Crackpot 06:56 – 🚐 Road Trip Begins in Derby 08:04 – 🏗️ Mt Paris Dam & Tin Timbers, Braxholm 09:05 – 💙 Little Blue Lake 09:21 – 🌊 Cosy Bay & Swimcart Beach 09:43 – 🔥 Bay of Fires / The Gardens 10:28 – 🏛️ Port Arthur Historic Site 14:08 – 🖼️ MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) 17:30 – 🦆 Richmond 18:18 – 🍩 Salamanca Market 19:17 – 👋 Saying Goodbye to Tasmania #Tasmania, #VanLifeAustralia, #FamilyTravel, #RoadTripAustralia, #DroneFootage #TasmaniaTravelVlog #TasmaniaRoadTrip2025
