According to the Deputy Governor of Khuzestan, the missile struck a vital area near the Shalamcheh border passenger terminal. The attack resulted in two deaths and eleven injuries. All injured were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Meanwhile, the Houthi group claimed to have attacked two Saudi Arabian oil tankers using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. The Houthis claimed the attacks were carried out because the two vessels were violating the naval blockade imposed on the Red Sea. Meanwhile, the IRGC announced missile and drone launches in a joint operation that it claimed targeted the US-owned King Abdullah II and Prince Hassan bases in Jordan. Iran also claimed to have targeted an F-15 aircraft support facility, destroyed an MQ-9 drone, and damaged a US helicopter in a hangar. US President Donald Trump later stated that Iran "will pay a heavy price" for the attacks on US military bases. In this development, four United States soldiers were reported killed: two Army soldiers killed by Iranian missile and drone attacks in Jordan, one soldier previously reported missing in Jordan, and another soldier killed in Iraq.
