Why the Progressive Road Position Isn't Faster for Most Riders
There aren't many riders who aren't aware of the new, progressive road position that we are seeing almost everywhere. In fact, we are seeing it so commonly that is starting to be referred to as "the meme fit." While it's easy to call it a meme, there is a lot of validity to the position as it does have the potential to optimize aerodynamics and efficient hip extension to produce power effectively. With that being said, the position does push you quite far forward requiring quite a bit of core strength and power output to avoid dumping all of your weight onto your hands. Hopefully this video helps you better understand the position, the necessary adjustments to achieve it, and whether this position may be right for you or not. 00:00 - Intro 01:02 - How we got here 03:33 - Challenges of this position 04:45 - Consider these things 07:15 - Adjustments to make 11:08 - Our Opinion --- Get started: https://www.myvelofit.com/ Blog: https://www.myvelofit.com/resources/f...
