How to Sequence Hardware Synths with Ableton Live 12: Step-by-Step Tutorial

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use Ableton Live to sequence your hardware instruments, such as synthesizers and drum machines. We’ll also explore whether Ableton Live is a reliable choice as a hardware sequencer or if investing in a dedicated hardware sequencer might be a better option. I’ll guide you step-by-step through the essential settings and connections, and share tips on creating dynamic and interesting sequences using Ableton Live’s built-in tools. 👉 I'm using Ableton Live 12, but you will be able to use most of the techniques with Ableton Live 11, too. The only thing missing is the CC control midi effect. In this video I'm sequencing my Nord Drum 3P, but you can adapt the technique to any other synth.
