Hatton Garden heist: Reenactment shows how robbers got in - Daily Mail
Property millionaire David Pearl took over the lease of 88-90 Hatton Garden, central London and has now ordered a drilling team to reopen the famous 45cm-wide hole in the basement vault wall. Mr Pearl is said to fascinated by the building's recent history, leading to speculation the vault may be reopened as a museum or a high-class restaurant. He is believed to be keen to keep the old vault, which looks like something out of 1960s crime movie, the way it was. As well as reopening the hole and climbing through, workers today also cut open the bars of the door (top left) in the same way the gang did to gain entrance to the vault.
