Psycho Pass Mandatory Happiness (PS4) - Playthrough A & B - 4. Family Route

My first visual novel video series. I genuinely don't think many people will be bothered about watching this series of videos but effectively it follows this flow chart seen here: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/184.... How to watch these videos: Each playthrough will correspond to a specific route. Some playthroughs will share chapters until they diverge (e.g. Playthrough A & B for Chapters 1, 2, and 3, then Playthrough A for Family Route and Playthrough B for Enforcer Route). I will try and list the videos based on the appropriate route, and what Endings they correspond to. Please see the list below: Nadeshiko Kugatachi Playthrough A & B: Family Route This leads to: 5. True End 07 "Childhood's End" 5. True End 08 "Happy Family" Playthrough C & D: Enforcer Route This leads to: 5. True End 04 "Answer Revealed" 5. True End 03 "When The Time Comes" Playthrough C & D represents an completely fresh set of Chapter Playthroughs, due to markedly different choices made throughout the game: Playthrough E & F: Inspector Route This Leads to: 5. True End 02 "Guardian of Life" 5. True End 01: "Thus Fate Has Proclaimed" Playthrough G & H: Sibyl Route This Leads to: 5. True End 05 "Goddess of Guidance" 5. True End 06 "Eternal Cradle" Like before, these are different routes therefore requiring different playthroughs. Inbetween these, I will also have videos for the Division 1 member events, supposing you need help getting these trophies. I will try to specify where I got them and zip through the videos just to present the choices and different dialogue that comes with them. Tsurugi Takuma Playthrough I & J: Inspector Route This leads to: 5. True End 09 "Those Capable" 5. True End 10 "A Night to Kill" Playthrough K: Nadeshiko Route This leads to: 5. True End 13 "Symbol of Faith" Playthrough L & M: Yukari Route This leads to: 5. True End 12 "Floating Arc" 5. True End 11 "Return of the Masked Princess" And finally Playthrough N, which only diverges from Playthrough L&M after Chapter Three: Alpha Route This Leads to: 5. True End 014 "Magical Song" As a bonus, I will include a couple of bad ends which include their own original scenes. I will however completely skip the horrendous Mini-Game. If I had any remarks to make about Psycho Pass Mandatory Happiness, I would say it is thoroughly underwhelming. The original story featuring Takuma Tsurugi, Alpha, and Nadeshiko Kugatachi is fascinating in premise, it is it's execution as a visual novel which leaves much more to be desired. There is something unfulfilling about not doing any actual detective work. Keeping the setting between the events of Season One, in PSB Unit 1 no less, is also incredibly jarring. Like many franchises, Psycho Pass' expanded universe rarely goes beyond the initial scope of the show and gets bogged down in it's existing characters and motifs. Though, conversely, having Tsunemori and Kogami relegated to supporting players is equally as frustrating. Personally, I would have applauded the bravery to step away from the known setting and test something new but I can also accept that fans would have thrown a fit not seeing their favourite characters once more. The consequence of attempting to keep one foot in the known universe of Psycho Pass, while attempting to drive home the nuances of this new compelling story, doesn't satisfy enough as a result. While the music features Yugo Kanno's best work, and the Japanese voice actors deliver as usual, the overall production quality is mixed. Some of the new art looks... Awkward... And that is a shame because the new character designs are visually in-sync with everything else in Psycho Pass. In all, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to play this and would advice carefully considering these sorts of visual novels. They are hefty time investments, especially if you want to delve deep into the different endings. Not enough is offered here that would ever pull me away from the mainstream greats in the genre like Phoenix Wright, Danganronpa, or Zero Escape, if only to mention a few prominent franchises in the genre. Maybe I will make playthroughs of these in the future. Maybe not. Who knows. -------------------------------------------- A NECESSARY EVIL: ---------------------------------------------- Any copyrighted footage I use is covered under fair use laws, or more specifically those listed under Section 30(1) of the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1989 and under section 107 of US Copyright Act 1976.
