Did I Reopen The Passing Lane

As part of my FC27 preparation, I'm spending more time reviewing my gameplay and trying to understand the decisions I'm making defensively. In this clip, my initial focus is on recovering my left centre mid and protecting the central passing lane. However, after switching players and applying second man press, I think I may have reopened the very lane I'd just worked to close. The defensive sequence ultimately ends well, but reviewing it back raises an interesting question: Did I make the right decision, or did my defensive structure simply recover the mistake?
