The National Construction Code (NCC) contains minimum requirements to reduce the effects of condensation and moisture on buildings and building occupants via condensation and water vapour management, as well as weatherproofing provisions. These moisture related effects can result from external water entering a building (e.g., rain) through to the accumulation of internal moisture (e.g., occupant breathing). Condensation, in particular, is the result of complex interactions between the environment, building construction and occupant behaviour.
