Giannis Antetokounmpo - Defensive Dynamo

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a monster. He finished the year, and will likely play next season, as the Bucks starting point guard. That’s not right. It just isn’t. 21 years old, 6’11 with around a 7’4’’ wingspan. The Greek Freak finished the season with 113 blocks on the year, averaging 1.4 per game (good for 22nd in the league, just above guys like Draymond, Drummond, Duncan, and Dieng). His length goes a LONG way (yes, pun intended), to the tune of 1.2 steals per game, and finishing in the top 15 for total defensive rebounds. The Bucks overachieved in Kidd’s first year, and middled out this past season, but no one would argue against the future being extremely bright in Milwaukee. I’ve already put together a video of how Giannis forcefully finishes around the rim (link below), and his ability to make plays, decision making are steadily improving (especially given he has a guy like Jason Kidd to mentor him), but now I wanted to show the problems his length can cause. Yes, it’s intentionally a little helter-skelter (compared to my other videos, at least), but that’s because when you watch Giannis, you never know what he’s going to do, or if you’re an opposing player, where he’s going to come from. I wanted to sort of capture the feeling you get when you’re actually watching him (if you don’t actually watch Bucks games, you should start, because Jabari, Khris and Giannis make it worth it). Enjoy! Here’s the link I mentioned earlier:    • Giannis Antetokounmpo - Freakish Finisher
