Presentación de la exposición 'La Albufera'

As a prelude to the opening of the exhibition ‘La Albufera,’ a conversation took place between the artists Bleda and Rosa, Teresa Marín García, Paula García-Masedo, Jorge Yeregui, Lucía Loren, and Jorge Ribalta, and the curator, Sandra Moros, in the IVAM auditorium. The exhibition not only commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Albufera's declaration as a Natural Park, but also proposes an interpretation of the territory through the notion of place developed by Jeff Kelly. This concept understands the Albufera not only as a physical or geographical space, but also focuses on intangible aspects, such as the historical, political, social, economic, and cultural circumstances that, like superimposed layers, have shaped, and continue to shape, the construction of this place, fostering new interpretations and giving diverse meanings to the territory.
