In this video we share some tips and techniques for have carving and using power tools instead of a lathe to make a trim or molding that you can use for walking or hiking stick wood carving ideas, rope twist derby walking canes, wizard walking staffs, carousel poles, old fashioned spiral turned wood barber shop poles, decorative half round moulding, wood rope, spiral twist wood trim and much much more. we wanted to create a decorative wood trim much like the Hafele carved rope moulding or the Omega National machined split maple wood rope molding products, or the hardwood Holden carved rope molding and trim design. This is an easy to do and how to tutorial if you do not have a lathe. We do use an assortment of power tools like a table saw, chop saw, circular saw, and disk and palm sanders.
