Daisetsuzan, Hokkaido (北海道大雪山) - Kurodake Ropeway (大雪山層雲峡・黒岳ロープウェイ)

From Sounkyo town (層雲峡), we took the Daisetsuzan Sounkyo Kurodake Ropeway (大雪山層雲峡・黒岳ロープウェイ) up to Sounkyo Station (層雲峡駅.) From there, we took a chairlift even higher up Mt. Kurodake, where we then began our hike to the summit. This video shows views from the ropeway - especially the beautiful autumn leaves (紅葉) and the "Unkai" (雲海 - Sea of Clouds.)
