Painting a body of work 🖌️ becoming an artist with a voice

Making a Body of Work! Week 52 of Art Life…. Creating a body of work is essential for progression in professional artistic practise. It’s provides galleries and collectors with established impressions of your artistic voice and identity. Essentially a “body of work” is a cohesive series of pieces of art that share “consistent elements” Such as: Subject Matter Style Aesthetic Themes Palette Medium Presentation Usually presented at an exhibition or online as a showcase, the way a “body of work” can help elevate and improve your artistic practise and self mastery as a maker is incredible. I wanted in this episode to share my thoughts on why making a series of paintings into a considered and cohesive body of work is vital to my work and how I’m finding this new process.
